Through our partner in Hyderabad, every year LCA sponsors operations for 10 young people who are affected with polio, cerebral palsy, and congenital abnormalities.
Most of them are disabled children and young people from a rural background.
These disabilities have left them feeling rejected, bed ridden and sometimes suicidal.
After their operations, they are further provided with medical aid and physiotherapy.
This gives them new hope for the future and help to become accepted and integrated into society.
It is a great opportunity to reach out to those neglected and poor and to give them a better chance in life.
Many of those who have had their operations go on to make a great recovery, secure good jobs, marry and have families of their own.
