Pastor Chinna Rao has seen many miracles of healing taking place, followed by faith in Christ and baptisms.
He says,“recently 2 women came to the Lord. One woman was diagnosed with a brain tumour and with no hope of survival. I, and the Church prayed for her and the next week when she went to the Hospital for surgery the doctors found to their surprise no tumour. Seeing that miracle, the whole family came to believe in Jesus and two people got baptised”.
There is still some difficulty though with the local community in allowing land to be purchased for a Church.
PRAY for:
The new believers to grow strong in their faith.
A change in heart for future land to build a Church.
Pastor Yesudas is very active & reaching out to many surrounding villages.
He reports – “one non-Christian family came to the Lord in his village. They are farmers and live close by. He became a stumbling block for our ministry and came to beat me & the family because of the PA system sound used during times of worship. He made a big problem for us with police and village heads. He asked me why I kept silent when he shouted at me and I replied, “God will fight for me” That same night his farm caught fire and he lost all his crops. He came running to me asking for forgiveness and so I had the opportunity to pray with him. He had no insurance for the loss but amazingly the government rescued him, arranging funds from the minority corporation fund. He was amazed at God’s power and started to come to Church. He’s even blessed the Church with one more PA speaker!”
Give thanks for all God is doing through Pastor Yesudas.
PRAY for Pastor Yesudas & the family’s protection as they reach out to the villages around.
All the other Pastors share how through God’s grace peoples’ hearts are changing. A ground-breaking ceremony was held at Pastor Kumar Paul’s in preparation for building a Church.
The medical camps LCA financed at Pastor Shyam’s village have found favour with the people and he has identified a possible place to build a Church.
The School & Children’s Home
The good news is that through a generous donation of an LCA supporter along with taking a small loan, Pastor Ebenezer has been able to purchase a 22-seater second-hand school bus. This enables children from the slums to come to school and receive an education. What a change seeing them smartly dressed in a school uniform provided by Carmel Ministries.
The bus is also used to take the Bible students out for ministry, and other events.
Give thanks that the bus is allowing the expansion of the work and making a real difference to the lives of the slum children.
This year 10 new boys from Oriya (Orissa), the state above Andhra Pradesh, were brought to the Home. Pastor Ebenezer on his visit to Oriya found these boys desperate for food and clothing and not receiving any education.
PRAY for:
The children to adjust and pick up Telugu quickly as they only had their state language, Oriya, when they arrived.
Sponsors for these children.
Bens School
The children have just come back from 2 weeks holiday for the festival of Dussehra which celebrates the triumph of good over evil. The school has started a new exam marking system which gives more detail and scope to improve the children’s work. Saturday morning school is kept for arts and crafts, and other practical activities which the children all look forward to.
New Life Disabled
The 10 young disabled operated on in the early summer now have their plasters removed and concentrating on their 3 months physiotherapy. Sujatha is hoping to be able to purchase 2 new pieces of equipment in the coming months to help with the rehabilitation programme.
In August New Life Ministries celebrated the 1st anniversary of the new Church, built on the roof of the ministry’s house, and the 1st birthday of Sujatha’s adopted daughter.
Give thanks to God.
Please continue to PRAY for:
A Chairperson to help strengthen the Trustees and Board.
The LCA Board meeting on Saturday 16th November that we may know God’s wisdom & guidance in the decisions we make.
LCA is very grateful for your continued prayers & support towards the ministry reaching out to the disadvantaged and changing lives for good.
